Precision Metal Forming Association: Jeff Richlin Speaks on Simple Automation


Jeff Richlin spoke on the topic “Simple Automation: The Goal” at the March 18 meeting of the Precision Metal Forming Association in Waterbury, CT.  The PMA is a full-service trade association representing the industry that creates precision metal products using stamping, fabricating, spinning, slide forming and roll forming technologies, and other value-added processes.

His simple automation presentation covered:

  • Automation techniques, ones that you have seen and are comfortable with
  • Advanced technologies that make automation easier to achieve quickly and how to take advantage of these new technologies
  • Simple takes on a new meaning. They include PLC’s, vision, servos, HMI’s, robots, and much more.  What do you need to help yourself in this new world?

About Jeff Richlin and his Automation Expertise

Jeff has a background as a well-respected user and instructor in the area of 3D modeling for mechanical systems and has spoken at Autodesk’s University and World Press Day. He regularly guest lectures at a local university and chairs the local CAD user’s group. CAD consulting and training has grown to be a very successful part of his business. Richlin Machinery Inc. was founded in 1962. Its original business was centered on production screw machine sales, turnkeys and support.
