Automation Design and Consulting

Before Automation can be started a plan must be created. Richlin Machinery can consult to create:

  • FRP: Request for Proposal.  This is the document created to specify all of the requirements of the finished system.  Richlin Machinery can help develop a plan for the automation. Other automation teams can then deliver project designs.

  • RFQ: After a process design has been completed the RFQ is sent out to potential vendors for pricing

CAD: In house 3D modeling.  Richlin Machinery has years of experience in building "digital twin" models.  These enable the design team and end user work together to work through variations till a best solution is selected.

PLC/HMI:  In house programming of both PLC and HMI.  We deliver HMI (Human Machine Interfaces) that work when handed over the end user, they are also designed for keeping the system up and running for years.  Excellent documentation and screens assisting in diagnosing and fixing issues that might arise.

System interface with other systems:

  • ERP: On our staff is an experienced programmer with databases and the requiements of interfacing with end user ERP system.

  • Data Collection:  SCADA and simple data logging

  • Serial communication (RS-232, RS-485)CAN, fieldbus protocols (DeviceNet, Profibus), and Industrial Ethernet protocols (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP)
